Read the review on Alba Blueberry wine, and you'll get the other half of this story.

Anyway, Alba's raspberry dessert wine is a rarity in that it is a dessert wine that is made from one fruit (I have heard of strawberry wines and am aching to try one). Oh sure, I am sure that a bunch of you out there will write me about a number of other fruit wines, and that's good, because I'll be exposed to a lot more of them.

Back to this wine; I'd say that it's something that you should try as you might like it. I find it too sweet, but then again, I do prefer blackberries to raspberries and cherries to strawberries. However, being that it is not too strong in alcohol content, you'll soon find yourself figuring out what the correct portion to swallow will be, so as to not overload your palate.

Alba, what else do you have for me this year?

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
